Description: This 1997 Piper Malibu Mirage JetProp DLX is a modified PA46-350P with a JetProp LLC "DLX" conversion. The DLX conversion removes the factory piston engine and replaces it with a 560 shaft horse power Pratt & Whitney PT6A-35 turbine engine. The conversion value is in excess of USD 600k! Additionally, the aircraft's avionics have undergone a major upgrade with a high-end, well specified Garmin installation.
With the additional power from the PT6A-35 turboprop engine, the JetProp can take-off and clear a 50ft obstacle in about 400 meters at Sea Level! Landing distances are even shorter with the aid of reverse thrust. At altitude the DLX can cruise at 260 KTAS at FL270 on about 31 gph or just more than 200 pounds per hour. RVSM limits the aircraft to altitudes of FL280 and below.
The JetProp DLX is perfect for a small business or family that doesn't need to fly with large loads but wants speed and pressurisation. It is also ideal for areas in which AVGAS is very expensive or unavailable.
Maintenance is up-to-date and the aircraft is fully serviceable!
